- ●6 tbsp (90ml) white sugar
- ●6 tbsp (90ml) brown sugar (firmly packed)
- ●1 egg
- ●1 tsp (5ml) vanilla
- ●¼ cup (60ml) water
- ●1 cup + 2 tbsp flour
- ●½ tsp (3ml) baking soda
- ●½ tsp (3ml) salt
- ●1 cup (240ml) nut or 1 cup chocolate chips (or both)

Cream butter & sugar. Add egg, vanilla, water.

Add dry ingredients.

If using nuts, add only 1/4 of them to the mixture.

Spread mixture thinly in a sheet pan.

Sprinkle chocolate chips (and remaining nuts if used) on top.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 minutes.

Remove from oven and run a knife through to create a marble effect.

Return to oven and bake for another 12-14 minutes.
