Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480ml) flour
  • 1/2 lb. (225g) butter
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • White of egg
  • 1/4 lb. (115g) coarsely ground nuts
  • Chocolate syrup or jelly for filling

Instructions

    Mix first 4 ingredients (flour, butter, brown sugar, and egg yolk).

    Form balls and swish in egg white.

    Then roll in ground nuts.

    Bake in 375° oven for 5 minutes.

    With a thimble (or finger) press down in center of each cookie.
