A traditional cookie recipe for the Purim holiday, yielding about 20 cookies. Chocolate chips are also a great filling option.

Ingredients
- ●1 1/3 cups (320ml) flour
- ●1 1/2 tsp. (8ml) baking powder
- ●1/4 cup (60ml) margarine
- ●1/4 cup (60ml) sugar
- ●1 tsp. (5ml) vanilla
- ●1 tsp. (5ml) almond flavoring
- ●1/8 tsp. (1ml) salt
- ●1 Egg
- ●Lekvar or apricot butter (for filling)

Cream margarine + sugar.

Add egg, flavorings.

Add dry ingredients.

Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface.

Cut circle with a glass (2 1/2" - 3").

Fill circles with lekvar or Apricot butter.

Pinch on 3 sides into Δ shape.

Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375°F (190°C) about 20 minutes.
