Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (180ml) margarine
  • 3 oz (85g) chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cup (360ml) sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp (8ml) vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp (1ml) salt
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) chopped walnuts
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup (360ml) flour
  • 3/4 tsp (4ml) baking powder
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) + 2 tbs raspberry jam

    Melt margarine and chocolate. Cool slightly.

    Beat eggs until thick and foamy.

    Beat in sugar.

    Stir in margarine, chocolate and vanilla.

    Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.

    Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes. Cool.

    While warm, spread with jam, sprinkle with walnuts and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
